The Look of Pineapple Gummies: Two-Tone Structure, Boundary Line, and Finish Options
A Fruit Shape Built in Two Colours
Pineapple gummies are pineapple-shaped gummy candies produced with a two-colour structure: a yellow body and a green crown. The two colours are deposited in sequence into the same mould, and the line between them is part of what makes the piece read as a pineapple. Colour and flavour intensity are specified by the buyer against existing moulds, and the piece runs in oiled, sugar-sanded, and sour-sanded finishes.
The Boundary Line Between Body and Crown
On a two-tone fruit shape, the boundary between colours is part of the product's appearance. A crisp line between the yellow body and the green crown reads as a defined fruit shape. The deposit interval that produces this line is recorded in the process specification, so the boundary is reproduced on reorders and can be compared against the approved sample.
How the Finish Changes the Surface
The finish changes what the surface shows. An oiled piece carries a glossy surface where the two colours and the boundary line stay most visible. A sugar-sanded piece adds a crystalline coating over the surface, delivering sweetness first. A sour-sanded piece puts acid at the surface, so acid arrives before the pineapple note.
Colour Matching for Private Label Programs
Colour depth for the body and the crown can be set per specification, so a private label program can work toward its own visual standard rather than a generic yellow-green combination. Both colours are matched against an approved reference on finished pieces, because the final colour may shift slightly during cooking and drying. The approved sample then serves as the reference for reorders.
Pineapple in Tropical Assortments
Pineapple pieces work in tropical assortments next to mango, orange, and other fruit pieces, where the two-colour form adds variety to the pack. A pineapple-led pack can also run on its own where the flavour leads.
