A Skin That Peels Back
Peelable gummies present fruit pieces where the outer skin peels back from the fruit inside, following how a real fruit is peeled. The range covers banana, mango, and watermelon builds, and each piece shows the peel curling back to reveal the inner fruit. The peeled-back skin and the revealed centre are what make the piece read as peelable at a glance.
The Peel and the Fruit
Each piece carries an outer skin in the fruit's colour and an inner fruit beneath it, and the peel separates from the centre by hand. The banana shows a yellow peel curling back from a pale centre, the mango shows an orange peel curling back, and the watermelon shows a pink peel curling back from a red centre. The two parts read as distinct layers on the piece.
Play in the Eating
The peeling step is part of the product itself: the buyer peels the skin back before eating, which adds an interactive step to the piece. This makes the format work for programs where the act of eating is part of the appeal, and the same fruit shapes run in the range's non-peelable versions as well.
Matching the Piece to the Program
Fruit shapes and flavour builds are developed against a written specification, and the range runs with an oiled finish. Samples of the banana, mango, and watermelon builds can be compared before a specification is fixed, and the peel can be checked directly on the physical pieces.
