Two-Tone Wings with a Gradient
Butterfly gummies are produced with translucent wings in two-tone colour arrangements: a yellow-to-orange-red gradient on the standard build, and split-colour combinations such as blue wings over a red body on the larger pieces. The wings read as glassy and translucent, with the colour shift visible across each wing. Colour combinations are specified by the buyer against existing moulds.
Wing Texture and Symmetry
The wings carry a raised dotted texture across their surface, and the two wings mirror each other around a central body with small antennae. The symmetry of the wing pattern is part of what makes the piece read as a butterfly rather than as a coloured shape, and the raised dots give the wings a textured feel that can be noticed by hand as well as by eye.
The Standard and Giant Builds
The range covers a standard butterfly piece and a giant butterfly-and-bee build. The standard piece works in mixed bags and assortments, while the giant build presents the same wing structure at a larger scale, with split-colour combinations that give each piece a stronger presence in a pack or display.
Recognizable Shapes for Young Eaters
The butterfly and bee shapes give children something to recognize while they eat. A child can pick out the wings, the body, and the antennae on the piece, which makes the candy work as a way to talk about the animal as well as a sweet. The range runs in oiled and sugar-sanded finishes. The oiled version keeps the wings glossy and translucent, so the colour gradient and the dotted texture stay most visible. The sugar-sanded version adds a crystalline coating over the wings, which presents the same shape with a textured surface. Both finishes run on the same moulded form, and colour combinations are specified per project.
